Can't really tell you how good this book is. All of the major Advanced Shotokan Karate Kata are covered including the Gojushiho Katas which you do not see often in books!
The Japanese terminology is perfect and comprehensive and the pictures are big enough with bunkai to follow through and teach yourself with the aid of instruction in classes.
The author also covers Kumite in this book and I can see why he has done that. The advanced forms lead to kumite and he has correlated this to each other.
All in all a very good book well worth a read and addition to any Shotokan Karate practitioners collection as a reference and learning manual!
